Style My Kid is our style diary to celebrate children and a glimpse into the world of children-inspired fashion. With this new series, we ask moms a couple of questions about how they dress their little people and hope that you?ll get inspired by their styling tips, must-have baby gear and how they?re so awesome!
For this new feature, we've invited Tjin Lee, founder of Crib Society a social enterprise to provide a conducive environment for mums and women to start their own business. It is a topic so close to our hearts. Amongst many other roles she plays, she is the Founder and CEO of Mercury Group,?Festival Director of the Audi Fashion Festival and director of nine local businesses including Baby Style Icon, Curated Editions and Wolfgang Violin Studio. One of the most respected hats she wears is the title of Mama to little Tyler, whom we all know as Bubu!
Bubu has taken the kiddy fashion world by storm. So we had to ask Tjin a few questions about her little fashionista!

1) What is your favorite childrenswear brand for clothes/shoes/accessories?
I love to mix and match brands, and source from all around the world. ?From labels like Whistle & Flute from Canada to Momes from Australia, we love discovering new clothing brands. ?For shoes,?I?love?a Bespoke brand called Be*U Shoes. ?Every kid that owns one calls them his?favourite?shoes. ?I?have?a?friend?whose 3 year old son swears it lets him run faster and he calls them his "turbo' shoes! ?For accessories, Tyler has been wearing Babiators and Mustachifiers pretty much since he was born!?
2) Where do you shop for Bubu?
Mostly online! ?I do also source for an online baby boutique business that I own with a few partners, called
Baby Style Icon, so I have the advantage of being able to source out new threads and trends long before they hit the store!
3) What is your personal style? What is Bubu's style?
I wear whatever makes me feel good. ?I am not a trend follower, rather my style leans towards comfort and classics. ?Bubu on the other hand is a total baby stylista. ?I?enjoy?dressing?him up, but of course comfort also matters hugely to me when?I?style him.?

5) What is one signature fashion piece in Bubu's wardrobe??
The black T-shirt. Like any baby fashionista, it is the one item that goes with everything in his massive?wardrobe (He has more than 60 pairs of baby shoes)!?
6) What would you like to see more of in childrenswear??
Really stylish basics. ?Sometimes less is more. ?You wouldn't go out in pastel clothes covered in prancing rabbits and teddy bears, why should your little one!?
