Inspiration :: A chat with our designer

We had a coffee with our adorable designer, Sharon , about what inspired the Whimsical Safari collection. Sharon is head over heels in love with her almost-two year old, Luli, enjoys long walks and lives in sunny Singapore.

She draws inspiration from everyday things and conversations with people around her, friends and family. She combs through magazines and pinterest and pens down her thoughts and moodboards... in doodles!

Like most mummies of toddlers, it is hard to leave them on their own! So a lot of the sketching happens when Sharon is doodling with Luli. Sharon hopes to inspire children to be creative, to question the impossible and to imagine...instead of "no" to explore the "why not?"

One of the CUTEST details in our new collection is the little eyeglasses perched on our animals. Our darling bespectacled designer explains to us how her daughter is always curious about them and they love this adorable french song that beautifully questions why animal don't wear glasses.

"Jamais on n'a vu, vu, vu, Jamais on ne verra, ra, ra, Un petit chien porter des lunettes."
